Update on Improvements at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park
Newly Installed Restrooms

The Waterfront Park has been under construction this fall, making much needed park improvements and enhancements at Poulsbo's iconic park. Poulsbo Public Works and other contractors have worked hard in sometimes nasty weather to get the project done.

The support posts on the pavilion have been replaced, and some of the railing has been removed so that watching performers on the pavilion becomes more enjoyable. The pavilion also has a new roof and a walkway that allows people to walk right onto the pavilion on the east side.  The concrete "sitting posts" have been removed from the front of the pavilion, and 10 new brown benches are being installed. These benches are sponsored by individuals or organizations in the community. If you interested in sponsoring one of the remaining benches, please call Poulsbo Parks and Recreation at 360-394-9772.

The new bathroom was trucked into Poulsbo on November 20. In addition to the men's and women's areas, the building has a family restroom. The building colors match other buildings in the downtown waterfront corridor. New concrete sidewalks are also being installed, getting rid of the chunky asphalt.

Most of the work will be completed in December, just in time to enjoy walking the waterfront and seeing the winter birds. C'mon down to see the changes!

Snow Route Removal Plan
As a reminder, when the snow starts to fall, the City will focus on snow removal based on its Snow Route Removal Plan.

The City will concentrate at the outset of an event on keeping the primary roads open to traffic. As the weather allows and as the crew gets caught up, the secondary roads will be plowed. As a reminder, the City does not plow or maintain private roads.

For any questions or information regarding snow removal routs, please call Public Works at 360-779-4078.
