To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the City of Poulsbo customer service counters in City Hall have been closed since March 23, 2020 until Phase 3 of the Governor's Safe Start Plan. The Public Works office, Parks & Recreation office, Police Administration office, and Municipal Court office counters are currently closed, as well as restrooms in most City parks. City staff are still working and available by email or phone. To learn more on how to reach us, click here.
Housing, Health & Human Services (H3) Update
COVID 19 vaccines have arrived in Kitsap County and the City of Poulsbo is working with the County Public Health District, Department of Emergency Management, Poulsbo Fire, local pharmacies and healthcare providers to be part of the vaccination effort. We’ll be holding pop up community clinics throughout the month, and focusing our efforts on seniors who find it difficult to travel to vaccination locations. For those who can travel, opportunities for vaccination appointments are slowly and steadily increasing. Stay calm and click on: the Public Health COVID information page (https://kitsappublichealth.org/CommunityHealth/CoronaVirus_Vaccine.php) and the Peninsula Community Health Services home pages are good sources of information (https://www.pchsweb.org/).
Hooray for volunteers! A call for local Medical Reserve Corps volunteers went out in January and we were inundated with offers—so many that we’ve (temporarily) closed our sign up list. Grateful, as always, for the community spirit of Poulsbo residents and their willingness to assist.
The Poulsbo Fire CARES Unit is up and running and responding to behavioral health needs throughout North Kitsap County. This is a City partnership with Poulsbo Fire and the Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic to pair a firefighter/EMT with a mental health professional to provide a new kind of response to non-emergency 911 calls. Say hello to Renee and Dave if you see them around town. More information about the program here: https://www.poulsbofirecares.com/

ADA Transition Plan
The ADA Transition Plan – You Can Help!
We are working towards barrier-free mobility in the City. Help us identify and prioritize removal of physical barriers in the public right-of-way for citizens with disabilities. Kitsap County has recently completed a traffic study and is looking for input/comments for the Fjord/Lemolo Shore drive corridor. Poulsbo residents are encouraged to review the report prepared by the County and to provide written feedback. The traffic report and comment form are available here. The City is in the process of further evaluating Fjord Drive for potential traffic and/or pedestrian improvements.
