Public Works 2022 Winter Storm in Review

With two major snow events, an ice storm, and king tides, Public Works has been very busy this winter keeping the City’s roadways clear and safe!

During the two snowstorms in late November and late December, Public Works:

  • Treated 2,240 road miles
  • Used approximately 400 cubic yards of sand
  • Worked 784 labor hours

Citizens can help keep city streets safe during snow events by removing snow from sidewalks and storm drains in front of your home or business.

There were also four new developments that started; Blue Heron (85 lots), Calavista (43 lots), Noll Terrace (31 lots), and Spencer Plat (81 lots). In total there were 69 building permits issued for new single-family homes.
