SR305/Johnson Parkway Project Update
The intermittent rain breaks have allowed for some exciting progress. The non-motorized tunnel is close to completion and will have lighting and security camera installation coming soon. Progress on the construction of the adjacent stormwater pond continues daily. Paving of the shared use path along Johnson Parkway is nearly complete. Final paving of Johnson Parkway was completed at the end of June. The compact roundabout on upper Johnson Parkway is close to completion. Sidewalk construction on Johnson Parkway is complete and permanent lighting installation is ongoing. Landscaping and irrigation are being installed throughout the project. The new T-intersection at Johnson Parkway and Noll Road is paved and close to completion. Bjorgen Creek Stream Restoration and Fish Passage Improvement is complete, which included extensive landscaping mitigation.
Present work focuses on the SR305 roundabout and involves a traffic shift on SR305. Traffic is shifting into a single lane roundabout configuration utilizing traffic cones and striping while the center and splitter islands are constructed. Final paving of SR305 is anticipated near the end of July. Speed limit has been reduced to 25mph and 20mph within the roundabout.
During the traffic shift, the areas shown in gray will be under construction with occasional trucks entering or leaving the construction areas. As a safety reminder, please continue to drive the posted speed limit within the construction zone.
