November Holiday Closures

City offices will be closed on:
- Friday, November 11, Veterans Day
- Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving.
City of Poulsbo Public Works department collects garbage during ALL holidays including: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Bainbridge Disposal will also collect recycling during all holidays.
There will be no change to your scheduled garbage pickup day during holidays.

The Kitsap Conservation District is now accepting Backyard Habitat Grant applications for stream restoration projects, on private property, in unincorporated Kitsap County. Applications are due November 16

Invitation to Open House - SR 305 Corridor Improvement

n July 2015, the Washington State Legislature included $38.6 million for SR 305 construction and safety improvements between the ferry terminal and Hostmark Street NE as part of the
Connecting Washington
Transportation
revenue package.
Kitsap County, Kitsap Transit, Suquamish Tribe, City of Bainbridge Island, City of Poulsbo, and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) are partnering to identify the key transportation issues and ideas within the SR 305 corridor.
Help shape the future of this vital corridor by attending one of the scheduled Open House events and taking the online survey (survey closes November 13
th)!

The City of Poulsbo is preparing to adopt its first Biennial Budget for 2017-18.
State law requires Public Meetings to be held to allow the citizens to speak to the budget and the elected officials to hear the concerns and ideas of the citizens to help develop the City's vision and financial plan.
The Council invites and encourages the citizens of Poulsbo to please attend the hearings and share your voice, thoughts and ideas for our Community

Public Notice - Accepting Comprehensive Plan Amendment Applications

The City of Poulsbo Planning and Economic Development Department is now accepting applications for amendments to the City's Comprehensive Plan to be considered during the 2017 annual amendment cycle. The amendment requests can consist of requests to change text or maps contained in the City's Comprehensive Plan, including site specific re-designation requests. Forms are available on the City of Poulsbo's website,
www.cityofpoulsbo.com
and may also be picked up at City Hall, 200 NE Moe Street on the 2nd floor during regular business hours.

New Skate Park in Poulsbo

The Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Department is putting together a citizen's committee for a new Skate Park in Poulsbo. This volunteer committee will create a park vision, identify possible sites, create a publicity brochure and discuss project timelines. If interested, please email Mary McCluskey at
