City of Rancho Cordova Seeking Applicants for Vacant City Council Seat

The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking applicants to fill a vacant City Council seat. Council Member Dan Skoglund, who had served on the City Council since 2004, passed away in April leaving a vacancy on the five-member City Council.
 
The City is accepting applications through an online form from today, May 16, 2017 through Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 5 PM.
 
At the June 5th City Council meeting, applicants will be interviewed by the current City Council Members. The City Council will select and appoint one candidate at either the June 5th or June 19th City Council meeting. The City expects to swear in the new City Council Member on June 19th.
 
All applicants must be residents and registered voters within the city limits of Rancho Cordova. All applicants are required to disclose financial information and to file a Fair Political Practices Commission Statement of Economic Interest. The application form may be found here.
