City of Roseberg staff, members of the Rosenberg Fire Department, Fort Bend County EMS and Fire Marshal’s Office, along with project partners C.A. Walker, Martinez Architects and Huitt-Zollars gathered on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, to celebrate the official groundbreaking of Rosenberg’s new Emergency Services Complex, located at the intersection of Highway 36 and Fairgrounds Road just south of the Rosenberg Civic Center.
Construction of the state-of-the-art facility marks a significant investment in public safety and will house Fire Station No. 4, an Emergency Operations Center, and administrative offices for the Rosenberg Fire Department. The project was made possible through the 2023 Bond Election’s Proposition A, which allocated $18.5 million in funding for emergency services infrastructure. The City would like to once again thank our residents for believing in the project and standing with us as we move Rosenberg forward.
In the groundbreaking ceremony, City Manager Joyce Vasut stated, “The City of Rosenberg has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and with that growth comes the increased need for critical services, especially public safety. As part of our strategic vision, we’ve made it a priority to take a thoughtful, future-focused look at our facilities and technology. This complex is just one example of how we are preparing to meet the needs of today while planning for tomorrow. It’s a reflection of our commitment to being a safe, well-planned, and connected community where quality of life thrives.”
The Emergency Services Complex is expected to be completed early next fall.
