Business Occupational Tax Certificates (business licenses) must be renewed annually, with all business licenses expiring December 31 of each calendar year. Applications for the LSS Class of 2020 are available online and due by March 15 ^th . Class members for the nine-month program are chosen based on criteria relating to prior leadership and service in the community, potential to contribute to the future of Sandy Springs, diversity, and desire to be involved. Nominations are accepted from community organizations, businesses, and alumni. Interested individuals may also self-nominate. Classes are intentionally kept small with 36 participants to encourage relationship building and facilitate hands-on involvement in activities and projects. The annual two-week Festival, presented by Delta Air Lines, celebrates local science and technology every March, featuring more than 100 events throughout metro Atlanta and reaching 50,000 children and adults annually.
