New Arts & Culture Director Chelsey Johnson

Chelsey Johnson has joined the City of Santa Fe as the new Director of the Arts & Culture Department, a part of the Community Development Department. She will lead key initiatives like the Art in Public Places program, naming the new City Historian and Poet Laureate, collaborating with the Arts Commission on the strategic action plan, cultural investment grants and programs, jump-starting Santa Fe’s creative industries sector with the Office of Economic Development, installations at the community gallery, 2024 local festival and event sponsorships, and more!

Main Library Stabilization Work

Stabilization work is underway at the Main Library! The repairs includes stucco patching and exterior painting to improve the building's appearance and ensure its continued service to the community in advance of a larger, more comprehensive historic renovation project to be completed in the future.

Join the City's Audit Committee

The Municipal Court Judge is seeking applications for two vacancies on the City of Santa Fe Audit Committee: one for an attorney, and one for a CPA. Click here to learn more about the committee and for instructions on how to apply. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, September 25.

Register Now for Toss No Mas!

Registration is now open for Toss No Mas, the annual fall citywide litter cleanup that will take place on Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to noon! Organized by nonprofit Keep Santa Fe Beautiful (KSFB) in partnership with the Environmental Services and Parks and Open Space Divisions, the cleanup is a great opportunity to spend time with family, friends, and neighbors while giving back to your community. 


KSFB provides trash bags, gloves, and t-shirts, so all you need to do is sign up and show up! Grab a buddy and register today.


After you register, be sure to pick up your supplies for the cleanup on Wednesday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1142 Siler Road.

9/11 Remembrance Ceremony


The City of Santa Fe Fire Department invites community members to a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 11, at Fire Station 1, 200 Murales Road.


Elements of the ceremony include: commemorative stair climbers; an Honor Guard; the “Striking of the Four Fives,” a meaningful series of bell chimes to memorialize fallen firefighters in New York City; and, a memorial flower placement for the 343 firefighters who lost their lives while responding to the 9/11 event. Community members will be invited to assist in the memorial flower placement at the close of the event. Food and refreshments will be available after the ceremony concludes.

The Weekly Wrap will take a break next week, and will be back on Friday, Sept. 29!
