“Xólotl: Dios Perro” Sculpture Exhibition at SFPL

Have you ever seen a 15-foot-high papier-mâché alebrije sculpture in person? If not, now is your chance! The Santa Fe Public Library has partnered with the Museum of International Folk Art and the Mexican Cultural Center in Denver to bring “Xólotl: Dios Perro," the first first monumental alebrije that has ever been on display in the U.S., to our very own Southside Library Community Room. The sculpture, created by prominent Mexican contemporary artist Óscar Becerra-Mora, will be on display through December 4, 2023.

What's Up With Water Webinar

Next week, Water Division staff will present the annual "What's Up With Water" webinar on Thursday, April 27, at 9 a.m. or 7 p.m. on Zoom. Listen in to learn more about Santa Fe's water over the past year and the outlook for 2023 and beyond!

Reminder: Summer Youth Recreation Programs

The Recreation Division is offering affordable Summer Recreation Programs for youth ages 6-12 and teens ages 13-17. Registration will take place in person by appointment only on Saturday, May 6, at GCCC. Appointments to register go live on Monday, April 24, at 8:00 a.m.

Snapshot of Your City At Work

Over the last several months, Tourism Santa Fe staff has shared Santa Fe travel information with potential visitors at several consumer travel shows around the country!


Members of the team traveled to Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, and Dallas between January and April to exhibit at the annual series of Travel & Adventure Shows. The team members spoke with thousands of potential Santa Fe visitors at each show and distributed the official Santa Fe Visitor Guide and Dining Guide to encourage future visitation to the city.

We're celebrating the 151st anniversary of Arbor Day with a tree-planting ceremony and drought-tolerant tree giveaway! Join us for the festivities at GCCC park at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 28, and pick up your free tree (first come, first served; one tree per household).
