Adult Hockey Drops Puck

Adult hockey begins next week at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.

A record 250 adults will play games Monday through Thursday nights in four different leagues from beginner to advanced skill levels. 

An adult skills clinic will be held at 7 p.m. on Mondays for those wishing to practice and improve. 

City Awarded $875,000 Grant

The City of Santa Fe's Public Works Department has been awarded over $875,000 in Building Resilient Infrastructure in Communities (BRIC) Federal Emergency Management Agency grant funds. 

To meet some of the goals outlined in the 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan, the Public Works Department awarded $675,000 to the Parks and Open Space Division for the design of the Cerrillos Rd. Stormwater Infiltration Project at Ashbaugh Park.  

Another $500,000 was awarded for the design of the Microgrids for Essential Services for Community Resiliency project that will build capacity for emergency response and resiliency for communities as the city prepares for potential disruptions from climate-caused disasters.
