New CONNECT–211 Partnership

United Way of North Central New Mexico, the City of Santa Fe, and Santa Fe County, are partnering to give Santa Feans greater access to local resources by linking United Way’s 211 information and referral Helpline to the CONNECT network. The 211 Helpline – CONNECT partnership will allow CONNECT navigators to provide referrals for services to community members throughout Santa Fe County, as well as give 211 callers access to a CONNECT navigator for more intensive assistance with services. On Air with Sustainability Radio

On this month's "Climate Matters" radio show, Sustainability Officer Neal Denton spoke with guests from non-profit 350 Santa Fe about key bills to watch in the legislative session. Watch the recording to learn about the law that would require a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, the Green Amendment, and what's going on with hydrogen. New Certified Public Manager

Our teammate Romella S. Glorioso-Moss has graduated from her CPM course! The Certified Public Manager Program is a nationally accredited management development program, designed to prepare managers for careers in government and public appointments. Romella completed 18 hours of assessments as well as a capstone project in order to receive her certification. Congratulations and great work, Romella!

No Hot Coals & Ash in Trash

Cozy fires are a treat in the wintertime, but practicing fire safety is critical no matter the season. You should never put hot coals and ashes in your trash cart – it is just as dangerous as leaving a campfire before it's fully extinguished! Hot coals can melt through your cart and set flammable material inside on fire. Make sure ashes are dead-out before disposing, and only dispose in your green trash cart, never in the recycling cart.

Our Year in Review 2022
