Midtown Master Plan Approved

The Governing Body unanimously approved the Midtown Master Plan on Wednesday night. Now, the City is moving forward with the next steps to take the revitalization of the site from planning to implementation. Three Request for Proposals (RFPs) have been released to begin redeveloping and bringing people to the Midtown Site, including:

"Proudly She Served" Exhibit

City Hall is the new location for the national "Proudly She Served" portrait exhibit honoring women veterans. The exhibit will be in place through Tuesday, January 31, 2023, and also features information about eight New Mexican women veterans interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Viewers can enter through the City Hall front door off of 200 Lincoln Avenue. The portraits are in the hallway to the left on the first floor, and viewing is free of charge.

Thank You, Gino

Senior Services Division Director Gino Rinaldi will retire at the end of the year. Please join us in a heartfelt "thank you" to Gino for his five-and-a-half years of public service to our senior community – you will be missed, and we wish you all the best in your next endeavours! The Senior Services Division will host a “Farewell to Gino” celebration on Wednesday, December 14, at 12:00 p.m. at the Mary Esther Gonzales Center.

Plaza Holiday Lights Are Lit

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Holiday Plaza Lighting on the Friday after Thanksgiving! We had a blast celebrating with you all and seeing the lights flip on to officially kick off the holiday season in Santa Fe. And, another round of thanks to all the city staff and organizers who hung the lights, coordinated the event, and worked hard behind the scenes to bring the celebrations to life. Kudos to all!

Toys for Kids

The Santa Fe Fire and Police Departments are helping collect toy donations for the 2022 Northern New Mexico Toy Drive to bring holiday cheer to kids in need in the community! You can shop for a toy online, donate to a toy fund, or bring an unwrapped toy to a variety of locations around the city, including the Police and Fire headquarters. Click for details.
