Report Broken Streetlights

Have you seen a broken streetlight around town? Help us know what needs fixing by submitting a report online! The City and PNM own and maintain different lights in Santa Fe (see a map of who owns what here). But, you can report a broken light to us, or to PNM, and we'll share the data with each other to make sure that no matter who owns the light, it gets scheduled for a repair as soon as possible!

"Copsicles" in the Polar Plunge

Last week, the Santa Fe Police Department “Copsicles” jumped into ice cold water for a Polar Plunge to raise funds for local Special Olympics athletes. Together, SFPD and other teams from the community raised over $4,000 to support Special Olympics NM. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to show their support and contribute to this amazing cause!

City Awarded Grant to Support New Endangered Properties Program

The City of Santa Fe Historic Preservation Division is assisting the Historic Santa Fe Foundation (HSFF) in its partnership with Habitat for Humanity to launch a maintenance and repair assistance program for historic homes. The new program is called the Endangered Properties Program and intends to "...sustain traditional community by assisting with stabilization repairs to allow low-income homeowners to safely stay in their homes and retain property within their family."

The City can support the launch of HSFF’s new program thanks to a $24,000 Certified Local Government (CLG) grant from the State of New Mexico Historic Preservation Division (NMHPD). The City is one of 10 New Mexico communities with access to funding from the NMHPD via the competitive CLG program. The grant required no match from the City and will be used to help HSFF (1) identify three qualifying properties, (2) work with property owners to determine maintenance needs and eligibility, and (3) capture oral histories associated with the neighborhood or property.
