City Issues RFP for General Plan Update

The Planning and Land Use Department has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to update the City’s General Plan, a comprehensive document that sets the City of Santa Fe’s official policies guiding the long-range planning of physical growth, community development, and public services, as well as the City’s goals for equity, inclusion, sustainability, affordability, and mobility. The General Plan is intended to capture the City’s vision of Santa Fe’s future and guide the advancement of the community. Proposals are due by Tues., Nov. 28, 2023!

Human Services Committee Seeking New Members

The City's Human Services Committee is seeking new members! Interested applicants should apply by submitting a resume and letter of interest via the City’s PrimeGov Committee Portal. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 9.

Save Trees: Leave the Leaves!

This fall, save yourself some work and skip the annual leaf cleanup – you'll get brownie points with Mother Nature too! Fallen leaves provide a natural mulch that suppresses weeds and fertilizes the soil as they decompose, and they also provide a habitat for essential pollinators like bees, butterflies, and moths, during the cold winter months.

Temporary Rail Trail Closure

A portion of the Santa Fe Rail Trail (from San Mateo to Siringo) will be closed from Monday, 10/30 through Friday, 11/10, while consultants for the St. Michael’s Drive-Rail Trail Underpass Project conduct soil sampling to inform the underpass engineering design. Detour signs for Calle Lorca will be posted.

Get Ready to Get Spooky at Our Halloween Party

Ghosts and ghouls are invited to have a scary good time at the City of Santa Fe Halloween Party on Tuesday, October 31! Join us at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center from 4 to 7 p.m. on Halloween for trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, a dance party, costume contests, and more. Admission is free, and the event is open to all ages.*


We hope you can join us for the fun on October 31!


*GCCC will remain open for regular recreation activities during the party. Admission to the Halloween event is free, but patrons must present a membership or pay the GCCC day-use fee if not attending the party.
