Project Update: West Alameda Construction

Thank you to our Public Works Department and the construction contractors for their efforts on West Alameda! We put together an update on the West Alameda Culvert Reconstruction project and responses to some of our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about this project, including:

Indian Market Road Closures

The 2023 Santa Fe Indian Market will take place on Saturday and Sunday, and preparations are already in full-swing! Click here to view a map of the downtown road closures. Regular access will resume on August 21.

Join the ForeKids Tournament

Golf enthusiasts of all ages are invited to take a swing at the upcoming 25th Annual ForeKids Golf Tournament (August 25 @ 9 a.m., at the Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe Course)! This highly-anticipated four-person scramble helps raise scholarship funds to provide the youth of Santa Fe County with recreational opportunities at Marty Sanchez and the Genoveva Chavez Community Center. City Boards and Commissions Seeking Members

These volunteer advisory groups work with staff, other community members, and relevant stakeholders to make recommendations about funding and to help develop and shape city policies that affect their priority issues.

Author/Illustrator Talk at SFPL: "Wishless" with Harry Werksman & Maya Shakur


Thursday, August 31 | Main Library


Community members are invited to join author Harry Werksman and illustrator Maya Shakur for a reading and talk about their book, "Wishless," at the Main Santa Fe Public Library on Thursday, August 23, from 6 to 7 p.m.


"Wishless" is the first book in a series that will explore the countless traditions surrounding these child-like, innocent prayers, and hopefully open the hearts of readers young and old to the possibility of manifesting a better world for us all.
