Funding Available for Affordable Housing Work

The Office of Affordable Housing is offering funds to organizations working on affordable housing activities for Santa Fe residents with low and moderate incomes. Two requests for applications (RFAs) are available for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) funds to support organizations building, preserving, and rehabilitating affordable housing and providing direct financial assistance to community members. Click here for details and application instructions.

We're #1 City for Filmmakers

For the second year in a row, Moviemaker Magazine has ranked Santa Fe as the #1 place to live and work as a filmmaker in North America (small cities category)! Hip hip, hooray for Santa Fe!

Congratulations to Chief Moya

Please join us in saying congratulations to Santa Fe Fire Department Chief Brian Moya on receiving the Champion for Children award from the Northern New Mexico Toy drive! This year, over 5000 gifts were collected for local children thanks to the efforts of many community partners and volunteers. Great work, everyone!

Saving Water Year-Round

Saving water is always in season, be it winter, spring, summer, or fall! When it snows, you can help your outdoor plants get some much-needed moisture by shoveling the snow off of your walkway and placing it around the base of trees and bushes. Click here to visit our Water Conservation Office's website for more seasonal water-wise tips!

New Street Signs

The street signs along Cordova Rd. have gotten a facelift thanks to the efforts of the City's signal shop and traffic operations teams! The upgraded signage included the intersections of Cordova and Cerrillos Rd., St. Francis Dr., Don Diego Ave., Galisteo St., and Don Gaspar Ave. (pictured) to name a few. The old signs that were replaced were over 30 years old!

Next, the team is researching replacement options for the more expensive, illuminated signage along Cerrillos Rd., like those at the intersections of Zafarano Dr. and Richards Ave.
