Cadet Class 35 Graduates from Academy

On Tuesday, the Santa Fe Fire Department, elected officials, and senior staff celebrated the graduation of SFFD Cadet Class 35 from the 22-week long Fire/EMS academy! Family and friends watched from the audience as Alexander C. Atwell, Andres Davis-Martinez, Dmitri G. Despain, Kyle Glaser, Joshua B. Haas, Michey Hernandez, Salomon A. Martinez, Ethan Aaron Ooms, Andres V. Rivera, and Mark Woodward took their oathes and were officially sworn in to the SFFD family. Congratulations and welcome to all the cadets!

Libraries to Open on Mondays

All of our Santa Fe Public Library branches will now be open for regular hours on Mondays – in addition to the existing Tuesday to Saturday hours – beginning on Monday, June 5. (Have we mentioned we love our libraries?!)

New Parking Division Director

ICYMI: We have a new Parking Division Director, Steve Kaspan, on Team Santa Fe! Steve grew up in Detroit and earned his undergraduate degree at Eastern Michigan University. Steve moved here from the City of Vancouver, WA, where he managed the City’s parking operations and assets. Prior to Vancouver, he managed parking for the City of Barnstable, MA. Steve is already putting his wealth of experience to use and has hit the ground running to support our Parking team, customers, and key initiatives.

Introducing "OED Online," a Resource Webinar Series

Our Office of Economic Development (OED) is excited to introduce “OED Online,” a free monthly webinar series designed to highlight and connect key resources for the local entrepreneurial and business community.


The first episode will air at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6. It will focus on resources available to the outdoor recreation industry, with insight from Alyssa Renwick, Acting Director of New Mexico's Economic Development Department's Outdoor Recreation Division and a discussion of upcoming opportunities at this fall’s New Mexico Outdoor Economics Conference in Santa Fe.

You're Invited to a Pride Flag Raising Ceremony & Pride Month Proclamation Reading


Monday, June 12, at 12 p.m. | City Hall


All community members are invited to attend the City of Santa Fe's LGBTQ+ Pride Flag Raising Ceremony, followed by a Pride Month Proclamation Reading, with Mayor Alan Webber, City Manager John Blair, Councilor Signe Lindell, and other elected officials and staff on Monday, June 12, at 12 p.m. in front of City Hall at 200 Lincoln Avenue.
