Charter Review Commission Seeks Public Comment

The 2022-2023 Charter Review Commission is seeking community input on proposed changes to the City's Charter.

The City’s Charter calls for the Commission to recommend changes to the Charter every ten years. This year, the Commission is considering recommendations to modify the City's form of government, make citizen petitions for new laws easier, create a veto power, require public land be used for growing food, and create a local human rights commission, among other proposals.

Celebrating Sustainability

This week, we celebrated the installation of a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Sandoval Parking Garage, as well as our recent acquisition of 17 new EVs for our fleet!

The charger and the new EVs all support our efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. The vehicles will help to further reduce the City’s contributions to greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in Santa Fe, and the charging station will add to Santa Fe’s EV infrastructure and support current and future EV owners. This project was completed with funding from the New Mexico Legislature and the New Mexico Environment Department.
