Library Launches 2023 Summer Reading Program

The Santa Fe Public Library is excited to invite toddlers, children, and youth up to 17 years of age to participate in “All Together Now,” their 2023 Summer Reading Program! Children may read independently or be read to by adults and older children. Reading library books, personal books, e-books, and listening to audiobooks all count toward earning prizes! The Library will also host a variety of Summer Reading events and programming through June and July.

RSVP for West Alameda Culvert Project Community Meeting

The City is holding a community meeting to present information regarding the West Alameda culvert collapse and reconstruction project from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center. Refreshments will be provided and RSVPs are requested.

Have you volunteered to participate in our non-profit partner Keep Santa Fe Beautiful's "Two on Tuesdays" litter cleanups? It's an easy way to make a difference: just pick up two pieces of litter on Tuesdays, or pick up litter twice during the day, or bring two friends to help – you get the idea!

Bicentennial Lap Pool Reopens on May 30

The Bicentennial Lap Pool will reopen for the summer season on Tuesday, May 30, at 6AM! Based on feedback from the 2022 season, the Recreation Division will offer expanded hours at the facility as well as added capacity for swim lessons throughout the summer.

To accommodate the new schedules and to allow for additional aquatics staff recruitment and training, the Fort Marcy and Salvador Perez pools will close temporarily from May 30 through June 11. The Salvador Perez pool facility will be used to host a free lifeguard training and certification course during the temporary closure.

Reminder: City offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. There will be NO residential trash/recycling pickup on Monday.

Summer Movies in the Park


We're hosting our FREE summer movie-in-the-park series again, with movie nights planned for Friday June 2, July 7, and August 4. Each night will be a double-feature with a kid-friendly movie that will start at 6 p.m. and then a movie for teens and adults starting at 8 p.m.


Join us next Friday to watch The Incredibles (PG) and Top Gun: Maverick (PG-13) at Swan Park, and don't forget to bring your blankets and snacks!
