The Fortitude Educational and Cultural Development Center has recognized City of South Fulton District 1 Councilwoman Dr. Catherine Rowell with a 2022 Pinnacle Leadership Award. Each honoree was selected because of his or her excellence in their communities, outstanding leadership skills, personal fortitude and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for others. Honorees were celebrated at the 21st Annual Pinnacle Leadership Awards Luncheon on August 27, 2022 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel. “Being recognized among a group of such astute leaders truly is an honor,” Rowell said. “I accept this honor on behalf of the people of South Fulton and I thank them for the privilege of letting me serve them as we build the best city in the metro area.” Designation as a Pinnacle Leadership Award honoree reveals recipients have quietly or boldly used their respective platforms to improve and uplift communities and made service a part of their lives. The proceeds from the Pinnacle Awards are used to fund scholarships for students and programs for seniors in the metro Atlanta area.
