All Washington Residents Age 12+ Eligible for Vaccine
All Washingtonians age 12 and up are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The Governor and the state Department of Health (DOH) have also prioritized equity issues in each phase to ensure vaccine access to populations disproportionately affected by the virus, including communities of color and low-income communities.

Local Vaccination Distribution Information
Three COVID-19 vaccines have been approved, and have begun to be distributed within the state. Information on the vaccine and its distribution in Washington is found on the DOH website. Learn more details on the SRHD website.

CDC Guidance for Fully Vaccinated People
Currently authorized vaccines in the United States are highly effective at protecting vaccinated people against symptomatic and severe COVID-19. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published updated interim recommendations for people who have been fully vaccinated. Until more is known and vaccination coverage increases, some prevention measures will continue to be necessary for all people, regardless of vaccination status.

Fire Danger Burn Restriction
The Fire Marshal has implemented burn restriction to help protect our air quality and reduce the risk of fires during the dry, warm summer months. During the burn restriction, it is still okay to use manufactured portable devices (like barbeques, fireplaces, chimneas, and patio warmers) as long as screens or spark arresters are in place. However, backyard fire pits and campfires need to wait until our fire risk reduces. Learn more on our website.

Maximizing Homelessness Resources
The homelessness system has undergone a fundamental shift to make better use of regional partnerships and assets that temporarily shelter individuals and families and transition people out of homelessness. Learn more on our website.

Vaccine Incentives
Governor Jay Inslee has announced a suite of new incentives to help encourage unvaccinated Washingtonians to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The Washington State Lottery will be conducting a “Shot of a Lifetime” giveaway series during the month of June, working with state agencies, technology companies, sports teams and higher education institutions across the state to offer a myriad of different prizes to vaccinated individuals.

Help Combat the Drought
We need your help to keep water levels in the Spokane River and Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer up this summer by conserving water where you can. We are encouraging all of Spokane to adopt an odd/even watering schedule to help protect water resources, maintain affordable water rates, support landscaping health, and reduce the need for costly water system expansions over time.
