Take this survey to help the Spokane Transit Authority, City of Spokane and City of Spokane Valley improve access to transit in neighborhoods along I-90 in East Spokane. This survey will inform a joint, multi-agency Neighborhood Access and Equity Grant application to the US Department of Transportation to reconnect historic neighborhoods and parks bordering I-90 by funding safe and continuous routes for people of all ages and abilities to safely walk, bike and roll to public transit. Take the survey!

Abatement process

Nuisance Property Abatement

Earlier this summer, the owners of a chronic drug nuisance house on E. Bismark in Spokane were served a warrant of abatement to vacate the house. The property owners were well aware of the process and that they needed to find another place to stay. The abatement process in this case was seven years in the making, but in one afternoon, neighbors are breathing a sigh of relief.

Free Business Workshops Scheduled

Main Street America, a national network of neighborhoods and communities that helps revitalize older and historic commercial districts, and Grow with Google will offer free virtual workshops for small businesses on Sept. 14, Oct. 5 and Nov. 14. The live trainings include how to connect with customers, sell more products online and improve business productivity. The Market Street and Sprague business districts in Spokane received state Main Street awards in the past for projects associated with the City.
