City Launches Full City Plow

The first Full-City plow of 2023 is underway! Residential areas will start being plowed once arterials, hills, and secondary routes are in good condition. Business districts will be cleared in the late night hours. For more info visit our website.

Let’s Talk General Facilities Charges

A General Facilities Charge (GFC) is a connection fee paid by the property owner seeking to connect to the utility system. The charge includes the physical connection to the system and the equitable share of the cost. The City is evaluating the current status and providing information for future decisions. Women Helping Women Fund Accepting Applications For Vivian Winston Scholarship

The Women Helping Women Fund, which empowers local women and children to achieve their full potential, has announced the application period is open for its Vivian Winston Scholarship. The scholarship awards funds to local mothers juggling the cost of tuition and childcare. Applications are due Friday, March 17.

REVISED Traffic Alert!

Current and forecasted weather is delaying the start of the construction project that will close north TJ Meenach Dr. to Monday, Mar. 13. The closure will impact TJ Meenach Dr. between Northwest Blvd. and the north end of the bridge at north Pettet Dr. and Riverside State Park Dr. Plan ahead for an alternate route. For project information and a detour map, visit the City’s website.

National Wildlife Refuge Tree Potting Event!

Refuge staff are seeking volunteers to assist with potting 5,000 trees to be used in habitat restoration projects. Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing (closed toe shoes, long pants) and provide their own food and water. Refuge staff will provide all the potting equipment. Join them to help give back to your public lands. This free family-friendly event is open to all ages. No experience necessary.
