Housing Survey Closes Friday

Time Limits Apply on Free Parking Days

Even when parking is free on holidays and Sundays, all parking rules, including time limits, still apply. Therefore, vehicles should be moved to another block face before the applicable time limit is up or receiving a ticket is a possibility. Masking Requirements in Healthcare, Long-Term Care, And Correctional Facilities to End

Effective Monday, April 3, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) will end the Secretary of Health Mask Order, which currently requires universal masking in healthcare, long-term care, and adult correctional facilities for people age 5 and older. Click here to learn more.

Ethics Commission Vacancies

The Ethics Commission is currently accepting applications for three vacancies. These positions will be appointed by members of the Ethics Commission to serve a three-year term.


The Code of Ethics sets forth requirements that are applicable to employees of the City of Spokane, and it is the duty of the members of the Ethics Commission to receive complaints and other requests, judge their merit based upon evidence submitted and move through a defined process to determine what, if any, sanctions should be made against an employee found to be in violation of the Code of Ethics.


Individuals from the following segments are encouraged to apply: professional or academic background in the legal profession, or experience in human resources, or possessing familiarity with government and the political process, or experience in ethics.


These positions will remain open until filled. Applicants for the Ethics Commission should submit applications via email.

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Spokane Regional Air Support Unit had its first All-Women Law Enforcement Flight Crew. Spokane Police Department Officer Makalia McKitrick was the Tactical Flight Officer for the flight!
