Coffee With A Cop

The Spokane Police Department's next Coffee with a Cop event is Wednesday, July 13, 12 - 2 p.m., at Starbucks, 172 S Division Street. Come meet your SPD officers!

Homeless and Housing

The community is invited to a presentation called “Homelessness and Housing: An analysis and discussion of the 2022 Point-in-Time Count in Spokane on Wednesday, July 13, 3 - 5 p.m. at the Central Library, 906 W. Main Ave. 


A story map presentation of the Point-in-Time Count homelessness population data and trends will be presented. Attendees will also be able to view features of the renovated library. Click here for details.

Spokane's Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS) connects the City's 29 Neighborhood Councils with resources and programs that improve our resident's quality of life.

Transportation Planning Open House

Join us for a virtual open house on Wednesday, July 20, 5 - 6 p.m., to discuss amendments to the Proposed Bicycle Network Map and Arterial Network Map. These maps are part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan that guides long-term plans, growth and investments on a 20-year Horizon. Current proposed changes address 14 planned bike routes and 15 street segments. Details on our website

SFD firefighters are giving McDonald's ice cream cone coupons to kids spotted wearing their helmets. You never know when a firetruck will drive by!

Resident Assistance
The impacts of COVID have created hardships for people in many ways. The City continues to connect residents with available and eligible resources.

Utility Assistance

There are Resident Assistance programs for emergency help to pay for City utility bills, which include charges for water, wastewater, stormwater and garbage collection. Interest-free payment plans are also available for residential and commercial customers.

Rent Assistance

City of Spokane residents will soon be able to apply for $5.59 million in new Emergency Rent Assistance Program funds awarded by the Washington State Department of Commerce.


The application process for the funds will be announced in the near future on the City’s website after contracts with the sub-recipients that will process applications are finalized.

Summer Fun: Barre on the Bridge

Join Spokane Barre on the blue Howard Street bridge in Riverfront Park on July 14, 7 - 8 p.m., for a free barre class. Strengthen and tone your entire body, with emphasis on core stability and balance, and complete with low impact / high-intensity cardio bursts! Details on our website.

Summer Fun: Story Time at the Carrousel

Join us in the Looff Carrousel party room Friday, July 15, 11 a.m. for Story Time!. Story Time at the Carrousel is an early literacy activity designed to spark and engage the young imagination with stories, songs, and preschool activities. $1 Carrousel rides offered to those who attend. On the Bright Side

Over the weekend, Officer Honaker attend a celebration in his honor today! Honaker was shot and wounded in the line of duty during a drive-by shooting on Sunday, June 26. Fellow officers turned out to support Honaker and enjoy some fabulous pizza donated by David’s Pizza.
