Message from the Mayor
I am pleased to announce Kevin Hall as the new Chief of the Spokane Police Department. From public feedback to department personnel, it was clear our community wants a leader who demonstrates character, integrity, and accountability, brings best practices to the department, and is dedicated to the safety of everyone in our community. Chief Hall is that leader and I am grateful that he has agreed to serve in this role. Visit the City of Spokane website to learn more about Chief Hall.

Burn Restrictions In Place

Survey Available on Housing, Services Fund Prioritization
The City receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement grant programs that serve as the framework for a community-wide dialogue to identify housing and community development. HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs supported through these funds increase and preserve affordable rental and homeowner housing, improve public facilities, and support public and community services such as food banks and health care services. The City needs your help to identify how best to spend these funds in our community by completing the needs survey that will be open until Friday, Sept. 20.
