Dear Community,
Thank you so much for your support of our new amenity – SKIP Playground! I could not be more excited about the positive response that has come from the new Skip Playground, both from our community and from the region. It truly is a destination amenity and a popular community gathering space that is bringing people together to learn, play, connect, and engage. We look forward to strengthening and fostering activity at the Stow City Center as we move forward. It is also a huge economic development driver for our community.
Thank you as well for attending our National Night Out earlier this week! It was great to see everyone! This is an annual community-building event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Want to talk about bringing people together? We are excited to once again present the Stow Summer Sunset Blast, a family-oriented community event that is free and open to the entire community! Join us for festival food, fireworks and FUN! The Blast is held each year at Silver Springs Park during Labor Day weekend. As always, there will be plenty of festive food, kid’s activities, inflatables, games, music, beer, live bands, and the best grand finale fireworks show in the area! The two-day event is scheduled for September 2-3, 2023 from 5pm-10pm each night. Admission is free. This is one of our best events of the year and there is something for everyone. We want to see as many residents as possible come out and enjoy themselves. It’s amazing to me how fast summer goes by each year, and this is a great way to celebrate it’s ending. #CelebrateStow!

As we move well into 2023, my goals for the year continue to include focusing on the needs of our residents, keeping our city at the forefront of economic and business development, building strong partnerships with our local businesses, and supporting departments that keep our neighborhoods safe, while enhancing our quality of life.
I pledge to continue my accessibility to our residents and businesses. Your ideas, input and feedback are so very beneficial in understanding the concerns of our community. I have the best interest of Stow at heart and I hope you do as well.
Sincerely,
John Pribonic
