Monthly Memo from the City Manager

October will provide an even better opportunity to learn about many significant current events and projects at the annual Temecula State of the City presented by Mayor Maryann Edwards, hosted by the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, and held at Pechanga Resort Casino. This year's State of the City event will include an early morning opportunity to network with the local business community, visit booths at a nonprofit expo, and enjoy breakfast with a presentation by Mayor Maryann Edwards who will share the City’s recent accomplishments, current projects and vision for the future. This event is open to the public (advanced registration and ticket required), and will provide insight on Temecula's strong economy, public infrastructure projects, new businesses, and planned development. Properly Retire Worn/Tattered
American Flags

The City of Temecula Fire Department has teamed up with Boy Scout Troop 148 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4089 to create American Flag Retirement Sites throughout the City.

These bins are located at all five fire stations in Temecula, and will be picked up by the VFW and Troop 148. Flag Retirement Ceremonies are conducted periodically to retire old flags properly.

Draft Housing Element is now available for review.

The Draft Housing Element is the City’s Housing Plan, which includes the goals, policies, and programs the City will implement in order to address housing constraints and needs.
As part of the Housing Element update, the City hosted numerous opportunities for the community and key stakeholders to provide feedback on existing housing conditions, housing priorities, key areas for new residential growth, and topics related to fair housing. Public participation played an important role in the refinement of the City’s housing goals and policies, and in the development of new housing programs.

COVID-19 VACCINATION INFORMATION FOR
RIVERSIDE COUNTY RESIDENTS

Riverside County and State of California websites are updated often with COVID-19 vaccine information.



Additionally, there are private clinics or organizations (community providers) that are administering the vaccine to the public which can be found here: www.rivcoph.org/COVID-19-Vaccine-Providers.

COVID-19 TESTING
FREE (no out-of-pocket cost) COVID-19 Diagnostic Testing (PCR) is available to Riverside County residents who want to be tested.
These e-blasts are provided by the Temecula City Manager’s Department to share current news and information from Temecula City Hall. We encourage you to forward these to your Temecula friends and neighbors. They can sign-up at TemeculaCA.gov/SignUp to receive City e-blasts directly.
