State Funding Moves New Tracy Courthouse Forward

The City of Tracy is celebrating a major milestone in the long-awaited return of local court services. California's 2026–27 state budget includes $3.5 million to advance planning for the New Tracy Courthouse, part of a project with a total authorization of nearly $66 million.

The new two-courtroom courthouse will improve access to justice for Tracy and South San Joaquin County residents by bringing essential court services closer to home. The project is managed by the Judicial Council of California and has been strongly supported by the City of Tracy and regional partners.

Mayor Dan Arriola thanked Assemblymember Rhodesia Ransom for her leadership in securing the funding and recognized the continued partnership of the Judicial Council of California and the San Joaquin County Superior Court. The City looks forward to supporting the project as it moves through planning and design toward construction.

Tracy Aquatic Center Project Moves Forward

The Tracy Aquatic Center project reached an important milestone at the June 16, 2026, City Council meeting as the Council directed staff to move the project into its next phase, bringing the community one step closer to construction.

Council also authorized staff to begin preparing construction documents with Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc., with a formal resolution to be considered at a future meeting. The project will move forward with an outdoor recreation pool, reflecting the Council's direction.

In the coming months, staff will continue developing construction plans and explore funding opportunities for potential amenities such as water slides, a lazy river, a toddler splash/play area, and a community building. A future City Council meeting will include consideration of a formal resolution to advance the project.
