This is shaping up to be a big year for the City's Public Safety Plan. After extensive preparation over the last two years, we are finally ready to begin construction in 2019 on Fire Stations 51 & 52, as well as the Tukwila Justice Center.  View the video presentation from the January 22, 2019 Council Meeting below for a preview of all the project updates expected this year.

The Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program (NTCP)

The City of Tukwila Public Works Department has a new program aimed to calm traffic on residential streets. Any resident or association (such as a Homeowner's Association) is eligible to enroll a street in the NTCP. A request should be made in writing, either by physical letter or by email. Requests must include a contact name, address, phone number, and email address.

Anonymous requests and complaints are not accepted. Requests should include a description of the location and the specific problem that needs to be addressed. From there, staff will begin looking into the individual concerns, work with the residents, and develop a plan of action. If you are interested in enrolling in the program or have any questions, please contact Cyndy Knighton, Senior Program Manager, at 206-431-1164 or  Cyndy.Knighton@TukwilaWA.gov .
