City of Vacaville Calls for Name Suggestions for Seven New Parks and Recreation Facilities
VACAVILLE, Calif. – The City of Vacaville, Parks and Recreation Department, is requesting the public’s assistance in naming seven new park and recreation facilities that are currently being designed.
Members of the community are invited to participate by submitting potential names for consideration to the Facilities Naming Committee. The parks and recreation facilities to be named include:
1. Neighborhood park in the Vanden Meadows subdivision (Jackson Rd at Bailyann Place)
2. Community park in the Roberts’ Ranch subdivision (East of Broadfork Cir. and east of Plough Drive)
3. Neighborhood park on Brown Street (North of East Monte Vista Road)
4. Neighborhood center on Brown Street (North of East Monte Vista Road)
5. Neighborhood park for the North Village subdivision (Area Plan 2 – East of North Village Parkway)
6. Neighborhood park for the southern Greentree Subdivision (South of Sequoia Drive)
7. Neighborhood park for the northern Greentree Subdivision (North of Sequoia Drive)
Proposed names must comply with the guidelines as found in the “Facilities Naming Policy”.
Ideas/recommendations may be submitted using the printable Commemorative Dedication and Name Application Form or via the online form both available on the City’s website, CityofVacaville.gov/ParkName.
The deadline for submitting complete application form(s) via the online form, mail, or in-person, is Monday, February 5, 2024, 5:00 PM PST. Mail or deliver submissions to City of Vacaville, Parks and Recreation Dept., 40 Eldridge Avenue, Suite 13, Vacaville, CA 95688. Submissions must be received by the February 5 deadline to be considered by the Facility Naming Committee.
