Vista's 250th Independence Day Celebration

We're excited to host our annual Independence Day Celebration- and this year marks a special anniversary for America! You're invited to join us on Saturday, July 4th, at the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Brengle Terrace Park (1200 Vale Terrace Dr.) for fireworks and fun. Brengle Terrace Park opens at 7 a.m., and the Moonlight Amphitheatre at 5 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m. Entry to the park is free, while Moonlight Amphitheatre admission is $5 per person.

Entertainment at the Moonlight Amphitheatre includes the Cassie B Project, beginning at 7:35 p.m. and resuming after the fireworks show. Cassie B and her 5-piece band is a one-stop shop for the BEST PARTY EVER! With unmatched vocals and an electrifying band that charts a course through your favorite top 40 hits, you’ll want to wear your dancing shoes and join in the fun.

Helpful tips to know before you go:

  • Admission tickets will be sold at the entrance to the Amphitheatre starting at 5 pm on July 4. There are no advance sales.
  • Parking is free but expected to reach capacity. Please arrive early to allow adequate time for parking.
  • Pets are prohibited.
  • ο»ΏAlcohol cannot be brought into the Moonlight Amphitheatre; however, it is for sale on the moonlight Patio.
  • Additional restrooms are provided in the park.
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed; however, food will also be available for sale in the Moonlight Amphitheatre.

Leave Fireworks to the Professionals

As a reminder, all fireworks are illegal in the City of Vista, including those labeled "safe and sane." Fireworks pose serious safety risks and can lead to fires, injuries, and fines. Not only are personal use of fireworks dangerous, city law prohibits the possession, sale, use and storage of all types of fireworks within city limits (it’s also prohibited in San Diego County).

Help us keep our community safe by leaving the fireworks to the professionals at the City’s Independence Day Celebration on July 4!

Movies in the Park: Goat (2026)

Grab a blanket, invite your friends, and head over to Brengle Terrace Park for a FREE showing of Sony's "Goat" (2026) on Saturday, July 11! The movie begins at dusk, but you're invited to arrive early to secure the perfect viewing spot for you and your family! Remember, admission is free and no tickets are required.

Give back to the community by donating blood with the San Diego Blood Bank! On Wednesday, July 29, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., stop by the parking lot in front of the Civic Center (200 Civic Center Dr.), and help save lives! While appointments are appreciated, they are not required.

Train for the Road

Our next practical e-bike training is Saturday, July 11, at the Vista Civic Center. What does a typical training session look like?

9-10 a.m. A classroom-style presentation, including interactive rules of the road lessons and brain teasers.

10-11 a.m. Obstacle/practice course in the parking lot, complete with turning and brake practice, as well as a helmet fitting (FREE helmets available).

11 a.m.-12 p.m. Community ride through Vista, helping you see the city and its roads through a new lens.

All are welcome to attend these trainings, not just e-bike users! Please note that participants must be 10 years of age or older, and children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
