CITY REMINDS MOTORISTS 4th AVENUE
WILL BE CLOSED FOR PARADE THAT MORNING
Yuma, Ariz. - Yuma City Hall will be closed
Thursday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day and Friday, Nov. 12 as part of
its customer convenience schedule.
Residential refuse collection for some Yuma homes will change
that week due to the holiday. City of Yuma residents who normally
have their garbage picked up on Mondays and Thursdays will have
collections on Monday and Wednesday of that week. City residents
whose pickup days are normally Tuesdays and Fridays, however, will
not be affected by the holiday and can expect service as
usual.
The annual Veterans Day parade is scheduled to travel on 4th Avenue
south from 16th Street, then east on 25th Street, then south on
Virginia Drive to the American Legion Post 19 at 2575 S. Virginia
Drive. Motorists are advised not to attempt to access or cross that
stretch of 4th Avenue from approximately 8 a.m. until the end of
the parade.
Residents can still pay their city services bill, register for a
Parks and Recreation program and more whenever City Hall is closed
by visiting www.yumaaz.gov.
