City seeks photographs to showcase Sierra Vista

As part of an update to the City Council Chambers, the City of Sierra Vista is seeking photographs that showcase Sierra Vista and the surrounding areas.

Selected photos will be framed and displayed in the Council Chambers with photo credit included. The photos should illustrate some of the elements that make Sierra Vista and its surrounding area unique to include, but not limited to: local landscapes, area landmarks, community events or activities, dark skies, and wildlife.

“We’d like to celebrate what makes Sierra Vista an extraordinary place to call home by featuring a variety of photographs that capture different aspects of our area,” City of Sierra Vista Communications Manager Adam Curtis says.

Photographs will only be reproduced with permission and the cost of printing and framing will be paid for by the City. Photographs will be selected by a committee of City staff with an emphasis on featuring the work of multiple people and highlighting different aspects of what makes the Sierra Vista area special. Photographers whose work is selected will receive an honorarium.

Interested photographers can email PIO@SierraVistaAZ.gov to share their work for consideration by Sunday, Dec. 31, or just to get more information.
