Good evening,
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday! As a friendly reminder, be sure to check out our holiday shopping guide for some great gift ideas from local San Gabriel businesses. We also have our annual holiday tree lighting ceremony on December 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Plaza Park - click here to RSVP on Facebook.

Finally, be sure to donate a new kid's book to the San Gabriel Library's teen book drive to help support Children's Hospital Los Angeles before December 2.

Now, here's what's making news for the week of November 29, 2017.
City served in lawsuit involving SGPD officers
The city has recently been served in a lawsuit by one former and several current peace officers of the City of San Gabriel. The city has also received a tort claim making similar allegations.

This matter is under investigation, and we are taking these assertions seriously. The city remains committed to serving its community with sensitivity and compassion, but will not be commenting in its publications while the investigation is ongoing.
