SGFD to purchase new fire engine and defibrillators
A City Council wrap-up for January 16 is now online
Last night, the City Council approved the purchase of new defibrillators and a new fire engine for the San Gabriel Fire Department. More information about this and other decisions in our City Council wrap-up.
Hayes House and Museum to change hours
Museum to now open on the second Saturday of each month
Beginning this year, the Hayes House and Museum will be open on the second Saturday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Select dates of operation include February 10, March 10, April 14, September 8, October 13, November 10 and December 8.
SGPD to host Chinese outreach event February 24
Meeting will be held in Mandarin and English
Mark your calendars: the San Gabriel Police Department will be holding its second Chinese community outreach event on February 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Asian Youth Center located at 100 Clary Ave.

Held in both Mandarin and English, this meeting will give participants a direct dialogue with members of the SGPD.
Jazz, hip hop, Chinese opera and more at the Playhouse
Song, music and dance at the Playhouse on January 20, 26 and 27
This Saturday, the American Golden Tripod Organization presents the "SGTO Spring Festival Gala." With a theme of health and happiness, the event will feature Chinese opera, music, song and dance.

In addition, Temple City Performing Arts presents "Breaking Free" on January 26 at 7:00 p.m. "Breaking Free" features a lively celebration of dance with jazz, lyrical hip-hop and more with the talented members of Temple City's Choreo, Auxiliaries, Oak Avenue Auxiliaries and other dance ensembles.

Finally, enjoy the 2018 Chinese American Spring Festival on January 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a night of jazz, soul and gospel as guitarist, composer, music director and producer A. Ray Fuller takes center stage with his all star friends.
