"Arbor Day"
As proclaimed by the Mayor, William, C. Dusch, the last Friday of October is “Arbor Day” within the City of Concord. As a way of supporting the efforts of this proclamation, City of Concord officials planted three trees at the David W. Phillips Activity Center. It is the hope of City officials and the Mayor that these trees will gladden hearts and promote the well-being of this and future generations.
Feel Good Friday!

       Concern, Customer Focus
Kevin Reid demonstrated empathy, going the extra mile and showed patience and caring to an elderly resident who needed to be placed on the carry out list for garbage/recycling collection. Resident let me know that they could not get to their doctor to have the application signed and had no one to help them, so it could be turned back in to the City, to be added to our list for collection.

I spoke to Kevin, and he brought out the application along with the policy to resident's home to get it signed, and brought it back to me to fax it to the resident's doctor, so it could be processed in a timely manner. He also showed compassion as the resident spoke to him about all the health problems they have been through. Thanks Kevin!
