SCC Grad Leads Effort to Open Safe Futsal Courts
Our Panthers continue to do awesome things in the community! This week, we're spotlighting SCC graduate Rose Shoen, who worked with Sacramento Republic FC to open futsal courts in Northgate Park after realizing local Latinx children in the neighborhood didn't have access to safe courts.
As a student, Rose (pictured above, far left) participated in the HACU Capitol Forum in Washington, D.C. and she credits this experience to helping her gain the skills she needed to champion the local project.
Way to go, Rose! We are proud of you and can't wait to see what you accomplish next!
