Benefits Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment begins today! Executives, faculty and staff have the

opportunity to enroll and/or make changes to benefits through May 19th, with

changes effective July 1st, 2023.

Enrollment information will be communicated by email containing

information on important changes and considerations this year, as well as

information on how to enroll and make changes. Please note that medical

rates will not be changing at this time. Instead, they will be updated in the

fall to reflect the new annual fall open enrollment period, with changes

effective January 1, 2024. You will receive this information by email in

late October.

Candlelight Vigil for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People

Wednesday, May 3, 6 PM, State Capitol West Steps

The California Native American Legislative Caucus and Assemblymember Ramos will hold a candlelight vigil to bring awareness and raise the voices of the thousands of missing and murdered indigenous people in California.

Kondos Gallery Presents “The Annual Student Art Show”

Come see our great student artwork! The Student Art Show at the Kondos Gallery will run Tuesday, May 2, through Thursday, May 11, featuring the works of current SCC students. There will be an artists' reception Wednesday, May 10, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

SCC Musical: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Friday, May 5 at 7 PM; Saturday, May 6, at 7 PM; Sunday, May 7, at 2 PM inPAC 150

Join the SCC Concert Choir as they perform their spring concert production of Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Come enjoy a laugh-out-loud musical about mistaken identities with a satirical commentary on social class.

Money Management Basics for Students

In collaboration with Folsom Lake College’s Center for Excellence and Financial Wellness at Sacramento State, all Los Rios students are invited to an online “Creating Your College Financial Plan” workshop on Tuesday, May 2 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm held via Zoom. At this event, participants will learn how to create a budget, track expenses, and manage debt, and explore financial aid opportunities available to community college students. Concert is free; a $10 donation is suggested.

Refugee Career Pathways Graduation Celebration!

All Los Rios refugee students who are December 2022 and May 2023 graduates completing a degree or certificate are invited to join us in celebration on Tuesday, May 16 at 5:30 pm at the Los Rios Ethan Way Center. Bring your family and join us as we mark this exciting step in your journey!
