Classified Leadership Academy

The Classified Leadership Academy (CLA) program is restarting this fall! The Classified Leadership Academy is a dynamic training and professional development program for permanent classified employees. The purpose of CLA is to grow and uplift classified employees to become leaders in the Los Rios Community College District. Participants gain essential core knowledge for leadership, practical tools for improving performance in the workplace, and a strong and supportive network. Adjunct Open Enrollment Ends Aug. 23

Adjunct Open Enrollment started August 1, 2023, for coverage effective September 1, 2023. That means the deadline to make any changes or enroll in coverage is Wednesday, August 23, 2023. 

Los Rios wants to make sure you have all the information you need to make the best coverage decisions for you and your family. Please review all coverage offerings to make informed choices.

Encourage Students to Take 1 More Class!

Studies show that students enrolled in 6-9 units who take just one more course are more likely to stick to college, save money and meet their academic goals sooner (2-3 vs. 5 years). Plus, there are great classes in many fun and exciting areas to consider, including:

• Ethnic Studies
• Theatre

See Something, Say Something

The Los Rios Colleges are public, open campuses and anyone is free to come onto our college properties, and many people do, even if they are not students or employees. And some will occasionally do things that may raise a red flag in your mind.

You hear it all the time – "If You See Something, Say Something." This slogan is a national campaign that raises public awareness of the importance of reporting suspicious activity to state and local law enforcement. But it is more than a slogan; it's how we protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.

You play a key role by recognizing and reporting suspicious activity. Suspicious activity can refer to any incident, event, individual, or activity that seems unusual or out of place. Some common examples of suspicious activities include a person on campus that looks to be doing something inappropriate, a vehicle cruising the parking lots repeatedly, someone peering into cars or windows, or shouting inappropriately.

We are asking for your help to speak up if you see anything suspicious or unusual. Contact the Los Rios Police Department at (916) 558-2221 and press "0" to speak to Dispatch. We also encourage you to go to the Los Rios Police Department website for safety resources and other information, including what to do in case of an emergency.
