Join the Classified Leadership Academy! Become a Leader in the LRCCD!

The Classified Leadership Academy (CLA) is a transformative training and professional development program designed for permanent, classified employees. The CLA aims to empower and elevate employees to become influential leaders within the Los Rios Community College District. Participants will gain essential leadership skills, practical tools to enhance workplace performance, and a strong, supportive network of colleagues. Upon completion, participants will receive certificates from both AALRR and Los Rios.

Adjunct Open Enrollment starts Thursday, August 1, 2024, for coverage effective September 1, 2024!

The deadline to make any changes or enroll in coverage is Friday, August 23rd, 2024.

SCC's Tech and Innovation Division Shines at the California Capital Airshow

The Tech and Innovation Division had a fantastic weekend at the California Capital Airshow on July 13 and 14, showcasing the cutting-edge programs and achievements of Sacramento City College (SCC). This event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with communities and aviation enthusiasts, highlighting our commitment to innovation and excellence in the aviation sector.

Representing SCC with full force, our departments demonstrated their expertise and shared insights into various technical fields. Attendees had the chance to learn about our diverse programs, including:

• Mechanical Electrical Technology (MET)
• Electronics Department.
• Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Technician (IMMT)
• Modern Making (Maker Space)
• Railroad Operation
• Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program (AMTP)
• Aviation

Join the Tri Counties Bank "Community Cares Basic Needs Drive" to Support SCC's Basic Needs Center!

We are excited to announce Tri Counties Bank's "Community Cares Basic Needs Drive," benefiting SCC’s Basic Needs Center. This initiative kicks off on Thursday, August 1 and runs through Monday, September 30. Tri Counties Bank is rallying its employees, customers, and supporters to donate essential items requested by colleges, both in-person and via an Amazon Wishlist, as well as raising funds to support the CCC Student Ambassador Program.

Your support is crucial. A 2023 survey found that two-thirds of California community college students struggle with food or housing insecurity. Nearly half of these students are unsure of where their next meal will come from, and roughly one in four face homelessness.

Let's come together to support our community and ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed.
