Share the Panther Experience!

Bring your friends and family to celebrate Sacramento City College at our community open house, Friday, April 14, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the main campus! Come for great food, music and entertainment, and experience what it means to be a Panther! 

We will be showcasing our incredible classes, programs, clubs, student talent and more. Help spread the word — this event is open to all and admission is free!

Bike valet parking will provided by our friends at Sacramento Area Bike Advocates, so please consider going green and biking to the event. Free car parking also will be available.

Fall Schedule is Now Available

The Fall 2023 class schedule is now available on the website. Please encourage students to make plans for fall now! They can find their priority enrollment appointment day/time and complete their Supplemental Enrollment form in eServices. Fall enrollment begins Monday, April 17.

Monthly Grants Clinic Thursday, April 13

Don't miss the monthly Grants Clinic this week, Thursday, April 13, with Sue Byrne, Director of Grants Management.

The Grants Clinic will be held on campus on the second Thursday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is an opportunity to get help with finding grants, completing an application or getting clarity on where to start. 

Make an appointment to meet Sue or simply pop in at RHN-277 (Public Information Office) to discuss all things grant-related.

Legal Name & Gender Marker Change Informative Workshop

Come to our workshop Monday, April 10, 2:30 pm. to 3:30 p.m., in LRC 105, to learn about the process and eligibility for legally changing your name and/or gender marker. Presented in collaboration with Legal Services of Northern California.

Clean Slate Expungement Clinic

Our Re-emerging Scholars Programs are teaming up with The Access Project’s Clean Slate Program to provide expungement services to our campus communities on April 13 from 10 am - 12 pm at Sac City College in Rodda Hall South Room 270. IMPORTANT: To get started, you MUST register at AccessProjectCA.org/RSN. 

A representative from The Access Project will be here to answer your questions, and a Live Scan operator will be onsite to process your fingerprints so that you can get a copy of your official RAP sheet. The Access Project will analyze your RAP to see if you have California convictions that can be expunged, reduced from felonies, or sealed, and they will assist you with all of the necessary paperwork!

Are You Looking for a Pet?

If you’re looking for a new cat or dog to add to your family, the students in the CRC Veterinary Technology program are looking for furever homes for their colony of animals!

Each year these animals live on campus and help train our veterinary technology students with the skills to support critical care to our furry friends. In the spring, the students are tasked with finding permanent homes for all the dogs and cats in their care.

This year we have lowered our adoption rates to $50 per dog and $30 per cat. All are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines. Dogs are also up to date on heartworm prevention medication.

You can visit each of the animals on April 30 from 10 am to 12 pm at CRC Soccer Field #2. Deposits will be taken that day and the pets can go to their furever homes the following week.
