Spring Break is Coming!

Spring Recess will be from Monday, March 17, through Sunday, March 23. Offices will remain open to support students, but no classes will be held.

Due to the Spring Recess schedule, Cityscape will not run next week. We will resume on Monday, March 24.

Explore AI in Education – Join the Ai Resources Hub!

Are you curious about Ai's impact on higher education? Interested in learning how generative Ai can enhance productivity and effectiveness in your work? Need guidance on addressing Ai use in your classroom or service area?

The Ai in Education Resource Hub is a growing Canvas repository curated by Design & Digital Media professor Don Button, SCC’s Ai Workshop Coordinator. This hub offers valuable resources, training opportunities, and the latest insights into Ai in education.

All LRCCD faculty and staff are invited to explore and contribute. The hub is organized into sections covering Resources, Education & Training, Workshops, News, and AI-related Books, with more features coming soon.

Attend A Monthly Grant Clinic

Don't miss the monthly Grants Clinic on the second Thursday each month, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Sue Byrne, Director of Grants Management. This is an opportunity to get help with finding grants, completing an application or getting clarity on where to start.

Upcoming clinic: Thursday 13th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in RHN 277.

Celebrate Your Colleagues at the Spring 2025 Faculty Art Show

The Russ Solomon Gallery at SCC invites you to the Spring 2025 Faculty Show, an exhibition featuring the artistic work of SCC’s photography faculty. This showcase highlights a range of styles, techniques, and creative explorations, from multimedia collage to augmented reality.

Join us in celebrating the artistry of our and see how their creative practices influence and inspire their teaching. The exhibition runs from Tuesday, March 11 to Friday, April 18, with an opening reception on Tuesday, March 11, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

2025 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar - Congratulations!

We’re thrilled to announce that SCC Panther Fnu Sohail has been named a 2025 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship! Selection for this prestigious scholarship was based on outstanding scores in the highly competitive All-USA Academic Team competition, which saw nearly 2,100 applicants this year.

This scholarship, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, recognizes students for their academic excellence and leadership. Fnu will be honored at the Parade of Scholars PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention in April. Please join us in celebrating this incredible achievement!
