How to Respond to Immigration Officials on Campus
Los Rios is committed to the safety of all students, faculty, and staff, regardless of immigration status.
If you see immigration officials on campus, call the Los Rios Police Department (LRPD) immediately at (916) 558-2221 (or ext. 2221 from campus phones) or use the SAFE Los Rios mobile app. Per District policy, adopted in alignment with the California Value Act (SB 54), no Los Rios law enforcement resources will be used for immigration enforcement or information-gathering activities.
Los Rios Police Chief Harvey Woo explains in the video below what to do in the event U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) comes onto campus.

Additional information about what to do can be found at losrios.edu/ICE. Bilingual posters with information for students and employees have been developed and will be distributed to all campuses this week.
If immigration officials are identified on campus, the district or college will send an emergency alert. Please be sure to check and update your contact information in Employee Self-Service, so you don’t miss any alerts. Log into Employee Self-Service, click Employee Information, then Emergency Alert Information, update your information, and click Save.

Join us for the Public Reception of Half of Us: SCC’s Faculty Art Show at the Kondos Gallery on February 13, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. This exhibit showcases the work of six talented Sacramento City College Art faculty members and is the first of two faculty shows at the gallery, with Part Two set for Spring 2026.
Featuring a range of artistic styles—including 2D works, ceramics, and sculpture—this exhibit is a must-see for art enthusiasts and the campus community.

Presidents' Day Weekend is Coming
Sacramento City College will be closed this Friday, February 14 and Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthdays. No classes will be held and all college offices will be closed.

Heart disease affects all ages, genders, and ethnicities. Risk factors include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, and excessive alcohol use.
Do you know how to keep your heart healthy? You can take an active role in reducing your risk for heart disease by eating a healthy diet, engaging in physical activity, and managing your cholesterol and blood pressure.
