Spring Forward in 2022
You will need to be fully vaccinated (meaning both shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna two-dose vaccine, or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine) to enroll in Spring 2022 in-person classes or access on-campus services like the library, computer labs, or in-person tutoring. With the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, you can get your second shot three weeks (or 21 days) after your first. With the Moderna vaccine, you can get your second shot four weeks (or 28 days) after your first. Priority enrollment for spring classes begins Monday, November 22, so act now if you are not vaccinated. You will not be able to enroll in Spring 2022 in-person class sections if your vaccinated status is not cleared in eServices.

All students who have verified that they are fully vaccinated before Monday, November 1 will receive $100! If you are fully vaccinated but haven't updated your status in eServices or haven't submitted proof of your second dose, please log in now. Learn more about the $100 cash incentive and how to upload your verification on the vaccine webpage.

To learn about local vaccine availability, visit the Sacramento County vaccine website. This site is updated frequently with information about eligibility and vaccine sites in your area, including how to access vaccines via healthcare providers. You can also visit the State of California's MyTurn website if you do not live in Sacramento County or you want more information about eligibility.

Do Your Part to Stop Cyberbullying
October is National Bullying Awareness Month. Cyberbullying is a major concern, especially with many college students active on social media. In fact, a recent study from the American Counseling Association found that 22% of college students reported being bullied online and 38% of participants knew someone who had been bullied online. Cyberbullying comes in many forms, including trolling, catfishing, and sexual harassment. To learn more about cyberbullying, what to do if you are being bullied, and how to report cyberbullying, visit the Cyberbullying on the College Campus webpage. Remember, we all have a part to play in ending bullying!
LGBT History Month
LGBT History Month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. It was founded in 1994 by Missouri high-school history teacher Rodney Wilson. LGBT History Month provides role models, builds community, and represents a civil rights statement about the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community. In the United States, Canada, and Australia, it is celebrated in October to coincide with National Coming Out Day on October 11 and to commemorate the first and second marches on Washington in 1979 and 1987 for LGBT rights. Visit lgbthistorymonth.com to learn more about the achievements of 31 lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender Icons.
