The Summer 2022 schedule is now available on the SCC website! 

The college is in the process of selecting a new Vice President of Administrative Services. The final three candidates recommended by the interview committee will be meeting with the college’s constituent groups on Monday, February 28, 2022. Impressions will be held via zoom. Please only attend the session for your constituency group. More information was sent from SCC President Michael Gutierrez on February 17.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about available, quality, local internships and the organizations that are offering them. Our kick-off event on March 1 called Internships 101 will help prepare them for the events happening all month.

March is Women's History Month, a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society. This is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to United States history. The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope." This theme pays tribute to caregivers and frontline women that have worked tirelessly during the pandemic and also recognizes how women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history. Let’s come together in community for a series of events celebrating women’s history throughout March.

In Fall 2021, Nahimana Arreola-Bittner and a group of students submitted a Campus Issue regarding the lack of campus voting resources at SCC. Namely, that SCC had not been used as a voting center. In conjunction with those who submitted the Campus Issue, the Student Leadership and Development Office, Operations, and Student Services, an application was submitted. In January 2022, the County of Sacramento Voting Registrations Office approved SCC’s application to become a voting center. In February 2022 the Executive Council voted to close this Campus Issue, as it had been resolved and the application had been approved
