National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time dedicated to spreading hope and vital information to people affected by suicide. We can all help prevent suicide. If you or someone you know is in an emergency, call The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or call 911 immediately. Key Academic Dates
  • September 1 - Start of University of California Transfer Admissions Guarantee Fall Application Period (deadline is September 30)
  • September 3 - Deadline to drop full term classes and receive tuition refund
  • September 5 - Last day to enroll in full term classes
  • September 5 - Last day to drop a full term class without notation on record
  • September 6 - Labor Day holiday

SCC President Michael Gutierrez will hold office hours during the fall semester, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following Thursdays:
