Los Rios is in the process of selecting a new Chief of Police. Students, employees, faculty and managers are invited to meet the final three candidates in a virtual Impressions Group scheduled for Friday, February 23. Please join the meeting (Zoom ID: 813 8841 7193) by 8:40 a.m. There will be time at the end to discuss and provide feedback and your general impressions of the candidates.

Chancellor Office Hours
Beginning this month, Los Rios Chancellor Brian King will be hosting monthly office hours at each Los Rios college. This is an opportunity for faculty, staff, or students to drop in and talk to Chancellor King about any topic(s) important to you or your college in general.

Unlock Financial Aid Access: Creating Your FSA ID
Creating and Using the FSA ID
The FSA ID is a username and password combination that students use every year to fill out a FAFSA form and for the lifetime of their federal student loans, if applicable. For more information, visit the Creating and Using the FSA ID webpage.
How to Create a FSA ID without a SSN
The FSA ID is required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online as a student applicant or as a contributor (parent/stepparent or spouse of a student applicant.). While in the past, a Social Security Number (SSN) was required to obtain an FSA ID, students’ spouses, parents, and stepparents who do not have an SSN can obtain an FSA ID beginning in late December, 2023. Note: On Friday, February 23, 2024, the college Financial Aid and Admissions offices will be closed for staff training and development.

Harmonious Showcase: Mid-Semester Vocal Recital
Experience the talents of senior voice mentors as they delight with musical theater, art, song, opera, and jazz performances. Join the SCC Intermediate/Advanced Voice Class students and the Mentorship and Repertoire Voice Class students for a captivating recital of solo works and Art Songs.

Get involved in empowering our students at their upcoming Career Fairs by contributing gently used professional clothing.
