A few reminders as we begin the spring semester:
Parking: No parking permits will be issued for the spring semester. Los Rios police will not be ticketing.
Free Speech: Please be aware that outside groups occasionally visit campus exercising their constitutionally protected right to free speech. These groups might display images or engage in speech that is offensive to some. Learn more about free speech on campus.

Student Deadlines
Key student deadlines for spring full-term classes
- January 28 - Last day to drop classes and qualify for a tuition refund
- January 30 - Last day to enroll in classes; also last day to drop classes without notation on your record.

What’s Open on Campus

Student Technology Resources
Refer students to the Technology Resources webpage to learn how to download software like Microsoft and Adobe, see if they are eligible for a free Chromebook, and find information about low-cost or free internet and wi-fi.
They can also reset their password, set up security questions, or contact Tech Support if they have additional questions.

Passing of a Colleague
It is with great sadness that we share news that Rick Ida, former Associate Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development, passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, at the age of 69.
Ida built a career in education and worked at several community colleges, including Sacramento City College, where he started as an instructor, then served as an administrator before retiring in 2014.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In Memory of Wayne Thiebaud
Legendary Sacramento artist, Wayne Thiebaud, famous for his colorful paintings of desserts and California landscapes, died Dec. 25, 2021 at the age of 101. Thiebaud taught at Sacramento City College for some time, while pursuing a graduate degree in Fine Arts at Sacramento State University. He later went on to teach at UC Davis for three decades, from 1961-91.
